Domaine de Cause

The vineyard of Cahors is situated along the meanders of the Lot, on terraces and semi-slopes with thin soils of pebbles and gravel. One of the originalities of the vineyard has been to preserve the local grape variety: malbec (auxerrois, or côt), which reinforces the colour of the wines by its richness in pigments. Solid and tannic, the Cahors wines can be kept well, but they can also be drunk young.
