Following the decline of sericulture, the estate's wine history began in 1930. Indeed, from the 16th century onwards, the estate was a silk mill, where silk was woven. In the 18th century, this activity employed 15,000 people in Avignon, France being the world's leading silk producer during this period.
In 1994, Jean-Claude and Raphaël Garcin acquired the estate, whose reputation was already considerable in France and abroad. Then, through hard work, perseverance and know-how, the Domaine Saint-Anthelme, Les Ramières and Longval joined Domaine La Genestière.
In 2015, the estate was bought by Christian Latouche, whose aim was to promote the heritage of Château Le Genestière.
The Domaine is composed of 3 exceptional terroirs, the lauzes terroir, the sand and gravel terroir and the pebble terroir. These three terroirs form the aromatic partition of this exceptional vintage.
