It was in 1989 that Bruno Rozel officially took over the estate and after having started restructuring the vineyard in 1984 by grubbing up the low quality grape varieties. He will be one of the first winegrowers to establish the viognier in our region.
Located in Valaurie en Drome Provencale, Domaine Rozel produces varied, fine, fruity wines with beautiful personalities.
Today it is Bastien and Matthieu who have taken over the estate in order to produce wines that reflect the estate's terroir: the diversity of the estate's soils gives the wines their typical character in each cuvée.
Respecting the environment has always been a property in the management of their operations: state-of-the-art equipment was acquired in 2012 to reduce fuel consumption and phytosanitary doses have also been further reduced by 30% while maintaining the same production efficiency. Thus the estate practices an agriculture that respects future generations by favouring low yields, reasoned and reasonable viticulture as well as the quality of the wines.
