Domaine Jaeger-Defaix

The Jaeger-Defaix estate extends around the Rully appellation. It all began in 2002 when Hélène Jaeger-Defaix took over from her great-aunt a parcel of Rully 1er cru Mont-Palais white located in the Saône et Loire region in order to perpetuate the family vineyard that had existed since the 16th century. Her great-grandfather was a great figure of Rully. For 40 years he worked to obtain the appellation d'origine contrôlée. In 2003, a second parcel, this time in Rully 1er cru Préaux red, was taken over by Hélène. Finally, in 2005, the entire estate was taken over, i.e. 4.50 ha of Rully 1er cru and obtained organic farming certification in 2009.
