The opinion of VIGNAPART :  "Dalwhinnie 15 years old offers a spicy, herbaceous and slightly smoky nose, elegantly evoking wax and honey, while remaining close to barley. On the palate, a sweet sweetness confirms these impressions, highlighting before notes of honey, heather and sweet spices. The finish, both milky and slightly dry, reveals nuances of licorice, smoked barley, lemongrass and anise."

Description

Located in the north of Scotland, the Dalwhinnie distillery is famous for these whiskeys combining tradition and control of their environment. Located at 327 m above sea level, the distillery is the highest in Scotland and its cold records make "the secret of Dalwhinnie" according to Bruce MacKenzie, the director of the distillery. It is the snowmelt, the source of this institution, which makes it possible to obtain unctuous and honeyed single malt. Rich in ancestral know-how, the distillery is one of the last in Scotland to use the condensation in coils making the uniqueness of its whiskey with a slightly fruity and gourmand taste.
