The opinion of Vignapart : "This Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from Château Ferrand Lartigue is an elegant and complex wine. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe black fruits, liquorice and vanilla. On the palate, it is rich and complex with notes of black cherry, cassis and dark chocolate. The tannins are melted, giving the wine a suave structure."

Description

The Château Ferrand Lartigue is a wine estate located in the prestigious Saint-Émilion appellation, in the Bordeaux wine region of France. The estate was founded in 1972 and sits on a hill that offers panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards.

The estate covers 27 hectares of planted vines. The red grape varieties grown on the estate are Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon used to produce Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wines, renowned for their elegance and finesse.

Château Ferrand Lartigue also has an interesting historical past. It was originally a monastery, founded in the 12th century by Benedictine monks. Over the following centuries, the estate passed through the hands of various noble families before being purchased by the Lartigue family in 1919. Today, Château Ferrand Lartigue is run by the family of Marc Lartigue and produces renowned wines among the best in Saint-Émilion. The estate is open to visits and offers wine tastings as well as visits to the cellars and vineyards.
