The Fuji Gotemba distillery, founded in 1972, is built at an altitude of 620 metres at the foot of the famous Mount Fuji in the Japanese city of Gotemba. The water sources of Mount Fuji are the elements that characterize the region, and are an integral part of the brand and manufacturing process. Fuji Gotemba mainly produces grain whisky, but also single malt of very high quality. All the whiskies of the distillery are exclusively aged in American oak barrels, the famous Bourbon barrels.
