The opinon of Vignapart : "The Harvest, a typical Irish whiskey, reveals a spicy nose with nuances of black pepper and aromas of juicy peaches. On the palate, a lively explosion of spices gives way to flavors of dark chocolate softened by a subtle woodiness. Its finish is delicious with notes of butterscotch. This blend of single malt and pure pot still, distilled three times, offers a remarkable softness on the palate, highlighting delicious flavors of fruit, caramel and vanilla."
The Irishman, founded by Bernard and Rosemary Walsh, is renowned for its quality Irish whiskeys. Their range includes a pot still blend, a single malt aged over 10 years, and a cask strength version. By collaborating with distilleries such as Old Bushmills and Midleton, they create exceptional whiskies.
In addition to their whiskey, The Irishman offers a cream-based liqueur and Hot Irishman, to easily prepare Irish Coffee at home.
The story began in 1999 when Rosemary and Bernard Walsh, managers of a ski chalet in France, created Irish Coffees for their guests, giving birth to "Hot Irishman Ltd". Returning to Ireland in 2001, they established their company headquarters at Urglin Glebe, a 200-year-old estate located in the heart of County Carlow, in Ireland's barley granary.
In 2005 they launched Irishman Irish Cream, using 100% Irish dairy cream and premium whisky. In 2007, they signed an agreement with major Irish distilleries to produce their first single malt, Irishman Whiskey, distilled three times, aged in bourbon casks, then refined in oloroso sherry casks. It enjoyed remarkable success in Europe and the United States. In 2008 they launched a cask strength, the first in 50 years, inspiring the creation of 'Writers Tears', an innovative brand aiming to push the boundaries of Irish whisky. Their distinctive packaging, with a stylized drop of whiskey, brings a touch of originality to this brand.
