- Scotland - Single Malt Whisky - 70cl
- Appearance : Pale yellow with amber highlights.
- Nose : Rich, generous, spicy and peaty. Aromas of black fruit and malted barley. A fairly balanced nose with a touch of salt.
- Palate : Smooth and pleasant, dominated by black fruits at first, then by peat, spices and salt.
The opinion of VIGNAPART : "This single malt bears the Gaelic name given to the island's main port: Port Ruighe. Thus, Talisker Port Ruighe pays tribute to the Scottish sailors who organised the sale of Port throughout the world but also to its double maturation in Porto casks. This whisky combines the maritime character with the sweet notes of red fruits brought by the Port barrels. This single malt, with a perfect balance, is a true blend of peat, spices and sea salts. With its generous and smooth character, this whisky will appeal particularly to lovers of single malts with a rich taste."

The Talisker distillery, founded in 1830 by the MacAskill brothers, specialised in a local production method: triple distillation. After a difficult start due to successive bankruptcies, the company was bought by a group of assemblers "Distillers Company Ltd" and its production method will replace the usual double distillation. Subsequently, in November 1960, the distillery suffered a serious accident that damaged the still room. From now on, the distillery is owned by the Diageo group and is part of the "Classic Malts" range.
Talisker is known for its average peat content and iodine content due to its location: it is located in Carbost on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. It is the oldest and now the only distillery operating on this island. Talisker was one of the writer Robert Louis Stevenson's favourite whiskies: it was, in his opinion, the "queen of drinks".
