Domaine Frédéric Sornin is located in Régnié, in Beaujolais near the place called “La Ronze”. This 16-hectare family property in Gamay, converted to Organic Farming since 2006, has been managed by Frédéric Sornin since 1984.
The average age of the vines is between 50 and 60 years, which ensures qualitative and relatively low yields. The harvest is manual and fermentation is done with native yeasts naturally present in the grapes. The juices obtained are concentrated and allow the natural wines to have great aging potential, in particular the “Cœur de Régnié” vintage which is aged for 12 months in oak barrels.
Frédéric's young son, Victor,is already passionate about wine; wines that he wants to be “natural”, with no input into winemaking.
