Domaine Chapelle - Santenay Blanc 1er Cru Les...
Domaine Leflaive was founded in 1717 in the village of Puligny-Montrachet. Owned by the Leflaive family, the vineyard was really created in the 1870s with Joseph Leflaive.
In 1905, when the Burgundy vineyards were struggling to recover from the phylloxera epidemic, Joseph Leflaive bought 25 hectares for his vineyard because of low prices. Then in 1994, Anne-Claude Leflaive took over the estate and decided, in 1997, to convert it into biodynamic vinification.
Today, this vineyard includes 5.1 hectares of Grand Cru vines and is renowned for its white wines.
