Le Clos Ornasca was founded in 1995 by Vincent Tola. In a few years, he managed to restructure a traditional 10-hectare vineyard and built a modern winery. His daughter, Laeticia, took over the operation in 1999 while her father passed away in 2001. The Clos Ornasca is part of the Ajaccio PDO. The soil of this domain is granitic like most of the soils of the island. Its sandy-gravelly texture is responsible for poor soils where the vine has difficulty to draw what it needs to produce quality grapes. Clos Ornasca is in organic conversion since 2017.
