Awards : Like many agricultural rum distilleries in Martinique, Habitation La Favorite, founded in 1842, was once a sugar production site. It was in 1905 that the estate was bought by the Dormoy family. Today, it is the third generation that perpetuates family traditions. La Favorite is now one of the few family and independent distilleries in Martinique. The sugar cane used to produce rum is grown at 75% at the estate. The rest of the volume is supplied by independent planters located in the surrounding communes, with whom La Favorite works throughout the year to guarantee the quality of all the raw material.
