Description

Château du Donjon is located in Languedoc, 10 km from the medieval city of Carcassonne. It has been run by the Panis-Mialhe family since the 15th century. Passionate about winemaking, combining traditional values and modernity, it now offers fruity wines.

The Clamoux terroir, which is composed of clay and limestone hillsides and gravelly terraces, is home to the Château du Donjon vineyard, which is therefore located in an area that combines the Mediterranean climate with the characteristics of the Atlantic Ocean. This one benefits from the AOC Minervois and Cabardès which allow to propose an original blend that forms wines with a perfect balance and a great complexity.

This estate is made up of several grape varieties such as Carignan, which is the oldest grape variety in the vineyard, Syrah, Cinsault, Merlot, Cabarnet-Sauvignon and Grenache, which is Jean Panis' favourite grape variety.
