Awards : Château de la Selve is a 40 hectare vineyard located in the heart of the southern Ardèche garrigue. Created in 2002 by Florence and Benoît Chazallon, the domain privileges the vitality of the soils and the natural defenses of the cultivated vines by working the organic and bio dynamic philosophy. The history of the estate dates back to the 13th century when the castle was just another fortified house on the borders of the kingdom of France. It was then transformed into a hunting lodge for a large Vivarais family, the Dukes of Joyeuse, and was transformed over the centuries into a farm. Château de la Selve now offers 9 IGP Coteaux de l'Ardèche vintages and 5 different grape varieties: Cinsault, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier
