The Domaine Chardigny has been exploited by the family for more than 200 years to Leynes, on the protected designation of origin Saint-Véran. It is the young generation today that takes over the control of the winery. Pierre-Maxime Chardigny, the elder son, takes care full-time of the domain. Jean-Baptiste the second son is an operating manager for the Domaine Leflaive in Mâconnais. Victor, the youngest child, owns an oenologist's National Diploma. Their experience and their values drive them to exploit this vineyard in Bio. They are thus in an initiative of organic certification which will succeed in 2018.
Vines are situated on the municipalities of Leynes and Chasselas and all the plots are in hillsides with slopes from 15 to 30 %. The vineyard which extends over 8 hectares of vines that are 40-year-old on average. The manual and natural labor is rigorous. Wines in organic conversion produced by the family Chardigny reveal the terroir on which they grew up. Their wines, in particular Saint-Véran, are authentic and of a big sharpness. A very promising vineyard and winery.
