The opinion of VIGNAPART: "The Veuve Clicquot Grande Dame 2015 seduces with a captivating nose revealing a complex aromatic palette. Delicate floral notes of jasmine and orange blossom blend harmoniously with fruity aromas of white peach and ripe pear , enhanced by subtle accents of toast and honey. On the palate, this cuvée offers a silky and elegant texture which highlights a fruity richness. The perfect balance between this fruity generosity and a lively acidity gives this champagne depth and. added complexity, while the lingering flavors of white fruit and subtle nuances of toasted brioche extend the pleasure to a long and memorable finish, refreshed by a subtle minerality."

Description

The Clicquot champagne house was founded in Reims in 1772. In October 1805, during the First Empire of Napoleon I, Barbe-Nicole Clicquot née Ponsardin lost her husband at the age of 27. She replaced him at the head of the house and named her house: Veuve Clicquot-Ponsardin. She made 100,000 bottles a year, she will make 750,000 bottles when she died in 1866. The house today belongs to the LVMH Group.
