Château Sainte-Luce Bellevue is located in the Blaye - Côtes de Bordeaux appellation on the heights of Blaye, overlooking the shores of the Gironde. Bought by Bruno Martin in 2002, the vineyard is located on a beautiful clay-limestone soil and extends over 10 hectares: 8.5 hectares are devoted to red (75% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon) and 1.4 hectares to white (80% Sauvignon and 20% Muscadelle).
Bruno Martin immediately set up a very important manual work (total thinning with leaf thinning and manual harvesting with sorting) in order to produce beautiful wines of great aromatic complexity worthy of the most beautiful terroirs of Bordeaux.
Biodynamics has been in practice since 2008. The direct influence of the river with its regulating effect provides an attenuation of heat and cold blows for better photosynthesis. The certified organic and biodynamic wines (Demeter) produced at Château Sainte Luce Bellevue are structured and powerful thanks to very fruity and sweet grapes. The aromas are very typical, with fruit and spices. The wine's structure is long and tight, ensuring a very high ageing potential.
