The opinion of Vignapart : "The vintage L'Abbaye Pécharmant Rouge of the winery Ancienne Cure is a rather complex organic wine with notes of red berries and structured typical of the best vineyards of the appellation. The ageing in oak barrel, which requires a few years to become integrated, softened the already silky tannins and brings vanilla and roasted aromas."

The Domaine l’Ancienne Cure is situated in Colombier, in the South of Bergerac, on the appellation Bergerac and Monbazillac. Christian Roche manages the winery since 1984. He rebuilt the wine cellar in 1989 in the constant concern to develop better wines. He realized that the conventional agricultural practices impoverished soils and quality of its wines. He decided then to convert the totality of the vineyard to the Organic farming.
To aim towards the balance completed between the power and the fruit the most naturally possible, Christian Roche and his team work on the environmental protection. Soils are worked in depth for a better implanting, vines are implanted, the grape harvests are manual and the ageing is adapted to the concentration in tanks and barrels.
The worked vines are : Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Muscadelle, Chenin and Ondenc for white wines (32ha; Merlot, Frank Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec for red and rosé wines (15ha).
47 hectares of vineyards produce a wide range of natural and biological wines which have already gone round the world!
