Created towards the end of the XVIIth century, the Cragganmore distillery begins its activity illegally around the farms of Strathspey. Its founder, John Smith was quickly considered one of the best distillers of his time and made his company one of the few distilleries whose spring water had a hard mineral (Calc). He associates with this particularity the creation of atypical alambic which allow him to create whiskeys of a rare subtlety. It is this precision that allowed the distillery to stand out and be part of the Classic Malt Edition bringing together the best Single Malt from Scottish know-how.
